The first WCW pay per view since the infamous "Fingerpoke of Doom" incident and the first WCW PPV under the presidency of Ric Flair, Souled Out 99 is all about World Championship Wrestling seeking revenge against the nWo. The show is headlined by a ladder match, Scott Hall vs Goldberg. Whoever can grab a cattle prod first and use it against their opponent will win the match. Elsewhere on the card Norman Smiley continues his rivalry with Chavo Guerrero, Chris Jericho wants to beat Saturn and force him to wear a dress, Konnan looks to get revenge against his former nWo Wolfpac teammate Lex Luger, and Ric Flair teams up with his son David to take on Curt Hennig and Barry Windham.
