The much-anticipated September Grand Sumo Tournament is now underway in Tokyo’s Kokugikan, the center of sumo universe. The absence of the top dog Yokozuna Terunofuji is disappointing, but it opens up a huge opportunity for the rest of the pack to put their hands on the coveted Emperor’s Cup. In other words, the competition is wide open and unpredictable, once again. Make sure to keep your eye on the competition because there will be many great bouts including surprising upsets coming your way every single day. 00:57 Hiro’s opening comment 01:19 Juryo match: Shishi vs Ichiyamamoto 01:54 Juryo match: Roga vs Tamashoho 02:13 Absent information: Terunofuji & Hakuoho 02:55 Makuuchi match: Nishikigi vs Tamawashi 03:46 Makuuchi match: Kotonowaka vs Shodai 04:30 Makuuchi match: Abi vs Hoshoryu 05:25 Makuuchi match: Hokutofuji vs Takakeisho 07:42 Makuuchi match: Kirishima vs Tobaru 08:47 Hiro’s closing comment & Day 2 live streaming info Now, here’s a reminder of SUMO PRIME TIME’S live streaming coverage of Day 2 of the September Tournament.
