You can access extra Breakdowns, Tutorials, and 1-2-1 Coaching on the Pro Striking Patreon here: https://www.patreon.com/c/prostriking https://www.prostriking.com Muay Khao — the forward-pressure knee fighting style — suits a tall fighter for obvious reasons, but the height only pays off once you've got the fight where you want it. This is a breakdown of how a tall knee fighter closes distance, survives the mid range, and takes over in the clinch, along with the risks that come with fighting this way. We go through the tall Muay Khao stance and why the narrow base makes marching possible, the long guard and hand controls, the half-extended prodding jab, the relationship between the jab and the teep, when a long knee is worth throwing and when it gets you hurt, and how a taller fighter holds posture in the clinch. Fights and fighters covered: Alfie Pearse, Niall McGreevy, Liam McGrandles, Toby Smith vs John Wayne Parr, Menshikov vs Bento, plus Singdam vs Anuwat Kaewsamrit and Tawanchai vs Masaaki Noiri on the risks of the long knee. If you want to go deeper into the positioning side of striking, I’ve put together a full 3 hour positioning course on the website where I show how to apply these concepts in your own training: https://www.prostriking.com 00:00 Intro 00:42 Why the style suits a tall fighter 01:31 The tall stance — pros and cons 02:51 The long guard and hand controls 05:02 Long range — the prodding jab and the teep 07:10 Mid range — elbows, hand controls and the long knee 09:46 Alfie Pearse breakdown 11:26 Niall McGreevy breakdown 12:39 Menshikov vs Bento — what went wrong 14:05 The clinch — posture and position 15:28 McGrandles vs McGreevy — denying the march 17:07 What you need to work on Footage rights provided by WSC Sports - https://tinyurl.com/prostriking Check out RWS Youtube for full fights: https://www.youtube.com/@UCXYHvmfsgeS19pjIXlyCryQ #prostriking #onechampionship ##muaythai #boxing #pressurefighting #breakdown #shortfighter #tactics
