In an exclusive interview with Sports Tak, former Pakistan Cricket Board chairman Najam Sethi shared his views on the ongoing India vs Pakistan cricket controversy. He supported the Pakistan government’s decision to boycott matches against India and said it is time to end double standards in cricket. Sethi accused the BCCI of controlling the ICC and recalled a 2014–15 incident when he was invited to Mumbai but was not met by BCCI officials. He also spoke about discussions during the Asia Cup with Jay Shah and former ICC chairman Greg Barclay, including the hybrid model proposal. Najam Sethi suggested that in the future, Pakistan’s matches in World Cups hosted by India could be played in Dhaka. He also criticised the recent treatment of Bangladesh, calling it against the spirit of the game.
