The company decided to introduce Inferno Matches in 1998, a match that would include a fire surrounding the ring and a match that would prove to be very popular. WWF Inferno matches were introduced thanks to the Kane character. Kane's origin story involved his big brother and a fire that took place when both superstars were little, and so surrounding a wrestling ring with flames made sense for a battle between the Brothers of Destruction. Kane and The Undertaker would do battle in the first 2 Inferno matches but Kane would also face Triple H and MVP in the same matchtype. The WWE would evolve (or devolve) the match into the "Ring of Fire" bout which featured Bray Wyatt taking on Kane at SummerSlam 2013, and the match was altered once again for the "Firefly Inferno" match at the TLC 2020 show. This video looks at every WWF / WWE Inferno match along with the origins of the bout outside of the United States. 00:00 - An Introduction to Inferno Matches 02:02 - Fire matches outside of the United States 04:38 - Creating Inferno Matches in the WWF 06:21 - The Undertaker vs Kane Inferno Matches 12:35 - Triple H competes in an Inferno Match 14:21 - MVP vs Kane 16:42 - "Ring of Fire" & "Firefly Inferno" Matches #WWE #WRESTLING #KANE
