Operating under a transfer embargo, the 42-year-old game chances to a number of products of the Chelsea youth academy including Mason Mount and Tammy Abraham. Chelsea finished fourth to qualify for the Champions League and were beaten 2-1 in the FA Cup final by Arsenal in Lampard’s first season in charge.
