Through on-stage conversations, interviews, lectures, writing workshops, literary seminars, festivals, music and dance and community discussion groups covering arts, culture, heritage and current affairs, especially related to the Punjabi language and people, the foundations brings together the people and the popular. About Jashn-e-Punjabi - The deep wisdom and rich cultural heritage of Punjab have been variously recognised as formative in the ideals and core values, the characteristic of an Indian society. It is this fountainhead of talent and tradition which ‘Jashn-e-Punjabi’ proposes to celebrate. A pioneering initiative by the Gurmukhi World Foundation, ‘Jashn-e-Punjabi’ is positioned as Punjab’s Signature ‘Culture, Language and Literature Festival’. Over a period of three days and through seven interactive platforms, we aim to showcase Punjabi literature, entertainment, media, and handicrafts at their best. Carefully curated workshops, walks and talks with allied institutions and individuals, special projects, artist outreach, and open mic will form the crux of this experience. Litterateurs, painters, scholars, artisans, and media personnel, from all spheres of Punjab’s public life, will grace the occasion. Jashn-e-Punjabi aspires to be an interactive, unbiased platform for expression of Punjabi art and culture.
