While HBK wanted to move on and get a shot at the WWE Championship, McMahon had other plans. Vince booked a match where he and his son Shane McMahon would take on Shawn Michaels and God, the match would happen at the Backlash 2006 pay per view, and McMahon would promote the match by visiting the church and even beginning his own religion; McMahonism.
