#Bonobibi is a manifestation of the protective, healing, and nurturing traits of mother nature. In Bangladeshi folklore, she has protected forest dwellers from the paws of Dakshin Rai who used to shapeshift as a tiger. Even today, we witness how nature has nurtured the lives of this beautiful delta we call home. Beyond the chaos of urban life - a part of our hearts still yearns to go back to our lore, legends, and fables we have grown up with. Bangla music soundscape is not complete without the enriched Bangladeshi Rock Band; and Meghdol binds that soundscape and lends a beautiful space to the wisdom of “Khonar Bochon” (Khona’s Parables) which for hundreds of years taught us Bengalis the way of life bound to nature. This is why the utopian state of men & nature depicted by the famous artist S.M. Sultan finds its way back to our sets, as have the sounds of grains and Dheki - that symbolize the life of Bangladesh. Our stories, fables, our sounds, strength and grains embody the magic in us - and that is #RealMagic #CokeStudioBanglaS2 *Listen on Spotify:* https://open.spotify.com/track/46pfDFfuuRkeSKsNMKtZO9 Season produced & curated by Shayan Chowdhury Arnob Music Composed and Produced by Meghdol Bonobibi Written by Shibu Kumer Shill, Mejbaur Rahman Sumon, and Khonar Bachan ('Khonar Bachan: Phrases of Khona' has been collected and adapted from a wide range of Bengali folklore) Bonobibi Composed by Shibu Kumer Shill Choir Arrangement by Rasheed Sharif Shoaib & Armeen Musa Mixed and Mastered by Amzad Hossain & Rasheed Sharif Shoaib *Set inspiration art of S M sultan, graciously shared by Abul Khair Litu* *ARTISTS* *Meghdol* Shibu Kumer Shill: Vocals Mejbaur Rahman Sumon: Vocals Tanbeer Dawood Rony: Piano, Organ MG Kibria: Bass Shourov Sarkar: Flute Amzad Hossain: Drums Rasheed Sharif Shoaib: Guitars *Geet* Jahura Baul Shuchona shely Nabia Mitul Farzana Iva Doly Mondol Priya Biswas *Ghaashphoring Choir* Sopranos: Sadia Seraj Saba, Scionara Shehry Altos: Ariba Tahrim Chaudhury, Armeen Musa, Atkia Sadia
