Ivelisse defends her title under submission endurance rules, which means 1 point is earned for a tap-out or a point can be earned by surviving a hold for 10 seconds. That favors the mat-minded Ivelisse for the most part, though KC shows she has plenty of skill when it comes to grappling. KC doesn't make it easy for Ivelisse to work her submission wizardry, throwing on a few holds of her own before we get our first true test of the match. Her arm is wrenched behind her by Ivelisse, but she hangs on for the first point. Determined to tie the score, Ivelisse does just that with a nasty modified double Chickenwing stretch. Ivelisse pounces on KC with leglocks only for KC to escape and answer with a Rear Naked Choke. This time it's Ivelisse who survives to earn a point. KC goes on the offensive with a wristlock, Ivelisse counters with a Headlock, and the end result is the score being tied up again when KC refuses to tap. Ivelisse goes up 3-2 with a wicked-fast leglock, but KC draws even by not giving in to a Full Nelson. With time ticking down, KC needs one more point to take the title. Can she do it?
