Many boxers have made solid careers off the jab alone, the likes of Paulie Malignaggi became a world champion off of his slick jab. Some of the best of all time; Muhammad Ali, Sugar Ray Robinson, Sugar Ray Leanord, Floyd Mayweather, all had exceptional jabs and built a lot of their game around it. The Jab will establish range and distance management, a crucial component when controlling the action in a fight.
