You can do many things from this position...this is the second step in the arm fighting progression drill...after learning to fight through the arms and get into a collar tie position.. you can pass through and out of the dohyo, use it to get to someone's side, get them into an arm/head lock, use it to snap your opponent down and forcing them to step forward ...then you can trip or reap the leg.
