On 13 June 1986, two of Puerto Rico's most talented fighters collided at Madison Square Garden in New York. Undefeated WBC lightweight champion Héctor “Macho” Camacho entered the ring as one of boxing's most exciting young superstars. Blistering hand speed. Extraordinary reflexes. Incredible confidence. But standing opposite him was Edwin “Chapo” Rosario — a devastating puncher who had absolutely no intention of playing a supporting role. What followed was one of the most important fights of Camacho's career. Rosario hurt Camacho badly and forced him into a battle that would become a defining moment in his boxing story. Although Camacho emerged with a controversial split-decision victory, many observers believed Rosario had done enough to win.
