In Your House 7 : "Good Friends, Better Enemies" took place 1 month after WrestleMania XII in 1996. New WWF Champion Shawn Michaels defends his WWF Championship against Diesel in the main event, and this match marks a significant moment in the Monday Night War. Kevin Nash and Scott Hall had agreed to WCW contracts before WrestleMania 12. On their way out of the company Diesel agreed to lose to Shawn on pay per view while Razor Ramon would lose to Vader on his way out of the WWF. Both Diesel and Razor Ramon were huge losses for the WWF and their massive impact on WCW television could never have been predicted, so "Good Friends, Better Enemies" serves as the final time both Razor Ramon and Diesel appeared in the WWF during the Monday Night War. The Ultimate Warrior gets an Intercontinental Championship match at this show however an injury to champion Goldust makes things a little difficult, Owen Hart and Davey Boy Smith team up to take on Ahmed Johnson and Jake Roberts, and the Bodydonnas defend their tag team championships against The Godwinns.
