On August 17, 2024, at the Centre Vidéotron in Québec City, Canada, Canadian contender Leïla “Eye of the Tiger” Beaudoin faced Bolivian veteran Lizbeth “La Leona” Crespo for the vacant WBO International Female Super-Featherweight Title. The fight showcased contrasting styles: Crespo, a seasoned campaigner known for her counter-punching and experience, looked to work off Beaudoin’s aggression. Beaudoin, fighting in front of her home crowd, pressed the action, mixing body work with sharp jabs and volume. In the later rounds, though, she began to take control, out-landing Crespo and making her fight at Beaudoin’s pace. After ten hard rounds, the judges awarded Beaudoin a unanimous decision victory, crowning her champion in her home province. 📍 Date: August 17, 2024 📍 Location: Centre Vidéotron, Québec City, Quebec, Canada 🏆 Result: Beaudoin wins by Unanimous Decision (10 rounds) 🏆 Title on the line: WBO International Female Super-Featherweight Championship This win marked a significant milestone for Beaudoin in her title journey.
