Topping the boxing medal table at the 2016 Olympics, Uzbekistan's boxing team secured over half of the country's total medals including 3 golds, making it their most successful ever campaign. Emerging as a powerhouse in amateur boxing, Uzbekistan also topped the table at the 2019 Amateur World Championship, making a breakout on the pro scene inevitable.
