“I DON’T NEED TO PROVE ANYONE WRONG — I NEED TO PROVE MYSELF RIGHT.” Barnsley’s unbeaten Jake Jon Cleary is ready to finish the year in front of his hometown crowd. The 7-0 welterweight discusses the difficulties of staying active in professional boxing, dealing with setbacks and pull-outs, and the importance of remaining focused when opportunities do not always go to plan. Trained by Jamie Kennedy at Millennium Boxing, Rotherham, Cleary also reflects on his recent holiday and the work now being put in ahead of his big hometown return. With the chance to perform in Barnsley at Twenty20 Promotions: ASCENSION, Jake is focused on proving one thing — himself right. Watch the full interview ahead of his return to the ring on Saturday 5 December at the Barnsley Metrodome. #Boxing #JakeJonCleary #LeedsBoxingPromo
