If you face an opponent who is better than you it is important to try and find ways that you can win the fight. Skilled opponents are difficult to face because they are often one step ahead of you. One way to counter a skilled fighter is to push the fight into the clinch. By entering the clinch, you will take away their distance and timing. If your opponent is much better than you in the clinch, this strategy may not work. The only way you are going to beat a skilled fighter is to focus on trying to exploit any advantage that you can find. Clinching is one of the best ways to ground skill fighter out in a 5 round fight.
