This is when Cody Rhodes got fired from WWE. Triple H and Randy Orton were walking backstage and they got interrupted by Cody in September 2013. He accused Randy of running from Daniel Bryan and told Triple H giving a chance for Bryan is best for business. Triple H got a bit offended, saying Cody should drop it since he has a lot on his mind with his wedding coming up. Neither Randy or Triple H got invited to the wedding so Triple H has an early present, a match against Randy. Cody said it’s a great opportunity, Triple H agreed, adding that if he doesn’t win, he’s fired. They met that evening, where Randy hit Cody with the RKO to win the match. Triple H came out and told Cody he’s fired. Cody was really angry about what happened, saying that the McMahon family always hated the Rhodes family. He was asked if he has a message for his future wife, Cody was speechless and left the arena. On Smackdown, Triple H said he’s the WWE, adding that Cody was insubordinate and disrespectful. He gave Cody a chance to fight for his job and he lost, meaning Cody fired himself. Goldust returned on Raw, saying firing Cody is ridiculous and Triple H embarrassed the Rhodes name. Then he faced Randy for Cody’s job. Randy caught Goldust with the RKO to win the match. Goldust was walking backstage disappointed, Stephanie McMahon stopped him and told him he let his entire family down, calling him a loser, comparing him to his brother. Then Stephanie told him to join the unemployment line and asked him to say hi to his dad. Dusty Rhodes returned next week, saying he got a business offer to get Cody’s job back and Stephanie came out. She said they want to offer Cody’s job back, Dusty was fine with it and was about to leave. Stephanie didn’t finish, saying they can give the job to Goldust, adding that there’s one open spot and Dusty has to choose. Dusty refused, saying he can’t play favorites with his sons, telling Stephanie to go straight to hell. The Shield came out and they surrounded Dusty. Then Big Show also came out. Stephanie gave Du
