In this Pro Film Study, we break down how Enriko Kehl defeated Chingiz Allazov by split decision in their 2021 ONE Championship kickboxing rematch, using relentless pressure, intelligent footwork and combination punching to force one of the world's best strikers into dangerous exchanges. After being knocked out by Allazov in their first meeting in 2016, Kehl returned with an aggressive strategy, cutting off the ring, closing distance behind a high guard and refusing to let Chingiz dictate the terms of the fight. We analyse how Kehl used small positional adjustments to maintain pressure, punched with Allazov rather than waiting for his turn, and maintained defensive responsibility while throwing combinations. We also explore where Allazov found success and compare his performance against Kehl with his later victory over Marat Grigorian, where intelligent positioning, angles, physical controls and exits played a much greater role in neutralising forward pressure. This breakdown covers some fundamental concepts of elite-level kickboxing and Muay Thai, including pressure fighting, cutting off the ring, range management, combination punching, defensive positioning and controlling exchanges.
